To accomplish our mission of carrying state-of-the-art biomedical research into the nature of brain function and the cause of memory loss Dr. Alexei Koudinov and Dr. Natalia Koudinova (the team) developed an internationally recognized research program. This research, focused on Alzheimer's disease, fats and neurodegeneration, has grown at a rapid pace since it was launched a decade ago in the Center for study of Alzheimer's disease at New York University Medical Center under the wisdom supervision of Professor Blas Frangione.
Since that time our studies were funded by different funding mechanisms. However, the current funding level does not allow Drs. Koudinov and their colleagues to pursue unexpected discoveries in greater depth or to initiate other important and timely research projects.
The goal of Drs. Koudinov research is to bring the society to a world without Alzheimer's, Parkinson and other devastating neurological diseases and to improve the quality of life for the elderly of the 3rd millenium.

The funding through your private contributions could help us to accelerate the pace of our research by:
Supporting
the salaries of Dr. Alexei Koudinov and Dr. Natalia Koudinova to relieve
them of the need to dedicate substantial amounts of time to writing multiple
grants that are needed to cover their salaries. This would enable them
to devote more time to the pursuit of neurodegenerative disease research.
Enabling
the research team to take advantage of new discoveries or research opportunities
by providing support for pilot projects that pursue novel or risky studies.
It is expected that these pilot grants will allow us to generate sufficient
preliminary data to obtain extramural, longer term funding to continue
research on new important directions.
Purchasing
the equipment to enable the team to keep pace with the latest technical
developments in biomedical research.
Supporting
our educational mission in training young students highly motivated to
pursue the research on brain function, memory loss, neurodegeneration
and Alzheimer's disease.
Launching
and maintaining novel global edicational projects.
Endowed contributions for the initiatives described above would augment Drs. Koudinov recent research accomplishments. As a result of these accomplishments, the team is internationally recognized in the fields of Alzheimer’s amyloid and brain lipid research. With support through donations and endowed contributions for these initiatives, the team will accelerate efforts to improve the quality of life for the elderly in the 21st Century so that the cure for memory loss will be found.
